Invisalign Treatment
The first step in Invisalign treatment is to meet with our specialist to have your needs assessed and a precise scan of your teeth done. We will then create a custom treatment plan for you.
Your teeth will be straightened, and your bite corrected through a series of aligners designed especially for you. A new aligner is provided about every two to three weeks until your teeth have straightened to their final position. Your progression is checked every six to eight weeks at which time you will receive a new batch of aligners.
During treatment, aligners should be removed only to eat, drink, and clean your teeth. Once your teeth have moved to their final position, you then move to the retention phase of treatment for a minimum of three months. During this time, you will wear a retainer only at night.

How Long Does Invisalign Treatment Take?
The time it takes for Invisalign treatment varies depending on the amount of correction needed. Some patients complete a treatment plan in as little as six months, but treatment time averages between 12 to 18 months. More complicated cases will take longer.
Several factors affect how long it takes to complete treatment. Teeth with large gaps or heavy overcrowding will take longer to correct. Not wearing your aligners for at least 22 hours a day is also an important factor. Following all directions and adhering to the treatment plan will result in quicker, better results.
