Girl Getting Orthodontic Treatment

Most people view orthodontics as a way to achieve a beautiful smile and correct an overbite or crooked teeth.  But that’s only half the story. The purpose of orthodontic treatment is to correct misaligned teeth and jaws, and create a healthy, properly aligned bite.

More Than Just Cosmetic

Orthodontic treatments (braces)  are intended to:

  • Correct malocclusion or an improper bite
  • Close wide gaps between teeth
  • Straighten crooked teeth
  • Improving chewing ability
  • Promote healthy guns and teeth
  • Prevent unnecessary wear or trauma to teeth
  • Improve Speech
  • Guide your teeth into their proper positions

Woman putting in her Invisalign braces

Invisalign is a virtually invisible orthodontic solution. Through a series of clear, removable aligners, your teeth gradually move position into the new and better smile.  During treatment you should remove the Invisalign aligner only to eat, drink, and clean your teeth.

A new aligner is provided every few weeks until your teeth have straightened to their final position.  Your progression is checked every six to eight weeks.

You then move to the retention phase of treatment for a minimum of three months. Then you will wear a retainer only at night.  Treatment time varies for every patient, but it averages between 9 and 16 months. Contact Us for an Invisalign consultation.
